I've been a little bummed this week and haven't felt much like blogging. Do you have weeks like that?
My BTB (Best Teaching Bud) AKA BTF (Best Teaching Friend) is leaving me.
It's all about me, right?
Seriously, I'm so very happy for her. She's taken a position as an ESOL teacher for our district. She's been wanting this for years.
But...
WAAAAAAAAAAAA
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA
That's me crying.
Plus.
Plus..............
My son is a fifth grader and is "graduating" and will be leaving me, too.................................
Double
WAAAAAAAAAAAA
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Cue the sad music people, because I'm wanting to just curl up and cry my eyes out.
The other day, while getting dressed, I did just that. Cried and Cried.
Had to look at myself and say, "Snap out of it!"
You know, like this:
I've got to pull myself together, people.
With that said, I've been a little bit in a funk, so I haven't felt very inspired, or creative, or witty, or intelligent, or willing to get online to do much of anything.
But, Cher slapped me this morning.
And I'm better now.
So, I'm here to share what I created for my end of the year gift for my kiddos.
This is not my original idea. I saw it somewhere...so if it's from you, comment and let me know, so that I can give you credit.
I'm attaching these to beach balls.
Graphics: Print Candee and Mel Stampz |
I'm giving it to them early so that we can blow them up and get autographs from their classmates (using permanent marker).
'Cause this girl just is NOT going to blow up 25 beach balls.
I'm not sure if I am going to have them deflate them to take them home. Probably will need to...can you imagine the drama they would cause on a bus. Or at car line?
You can grab a free copy {here}.
Enjoy!
That's my favorite part of that movie! I just played it top volume and scared my dog away! LOL! I'm sorry you're bummed, but happy you snapped out of it! Thanks for the freebie! Cute, cute, cute!

I totally get your sadness. Two of my BTF's, well they're also my BFF's, are leaving this year. I'll be thinking about you, and you be thinking about me ok? :) Thank you for the gift tag. Too cute!

Learning Is Something to Treasure
It's happening to me too! And she's not only my BTF but my looping partner too for 4 years. We share EVERYTHING and I'm going to be lost without her. Maybe I need to watch Cher a few times. My thoughts are with you completely. And thanks for the tag. Perfect for my luau classroom.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about this idea! Love it, especially with the kids signing the beach ball. I might have to use it next year- thank you for the freebie!

Very cute tag. I'm giving my kids beach balls too. Just one question: Exactly how are you attaching them to the balls?
ReplyDeleteVirtual hugs to you, I had to leave my BTF (best teacher friend) last year due to an involuntary transfer...things just haven't been the same without her.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain....
