Hi BlogFriend:
ReplyDeleteI'm on the 6th grade list! Fun!
We are having two teenagers stay with us during the week of 4th of July. We're looking for a place to watch fireworks!
This new design makes me so happy. Love the new favicon too!

Finding JOY in 6th Grade
I haven't thought about 4th of July yet! I ALWAYS go out of town to visit family, but summer school preplanning Monday and Tuesday, so that is not an option this year. Guess I better be thinking;-).
ReplyDeleteI'm a K-2 blog, so I am not on your link up list, but LOVE that idea!!
Sunshine, Sand and Scissors
I will be on the beach watching fireworks for the 4th!
ReplyDeleteI will be visiting with my family at my parent's house. Maybe some fireworks or just quality time around the pool!
ReplyDeleteNo plans right now! Just hanging out with the family!
ReplyDeleteStaying in with the kids because the hubby has to work! :( That's okay, we'll still have fun!
ReplyDeleteI plan on being at our house on the Tennessee River. It's hot in Tennessee (I'm sure everywhere else, too.), and there is nothing better than jumping in the water to cool off.

We're celebrating the 4th today actually! My grandpa's birthday is on the fourth and we're celebrating today with a big ole cookout since the fourth is in the middle of the week and my dad's retirement party is this weekend!

My fiance and I are spending the 4th together, which is a big deal since he travels a lot. I am very excited to have him home! We will probably cook out and enjoy some fireworks. Have a Happy Fourth!

We are planning on a baseball game and fireworks for the 4th!
ReplyDeleteMy family and I are spending 4th of July with my husband's family. A picnic and maybe some fireworks. I'm not sure if my little one will like them or not! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in Colorado, so our fireworks have been cancelled because of the wildfires, which is totally understandable, but has changed our plans a bit! I think we're just going to be hanging out with friends and our little ones in the backyard with sprinklers and the baby pool :) Good times!

3rd Grade Thoughts
We are actually going to be flying up to Michigan (from Florida) to visit my parents for a couple of weeks on July 4th. We'll get to their house around 5:30 so I'm guessing a cookout.
ReplyDeleteI think we may grill...hang out at home. =)
ReplyDeleteJennifer
First Grade Blue SKies
We'll be enjoying the fireworks show at Sea World Orlando. We're excited for our little guy!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be going to church that night and getting home just in time for the firework display at the park. It is so close to our house, we can sit in our driveway to watch the show.
ReplyDeleteKelly @ I'm Not Your Grandpa, I'm Your Teacher
I plan on having a nice relaxing family bbq on the 4th!!
ReplyDeletebl3982@yahoo.com
I haven't begun to think about the fourth; but I imagine there will be eating involved (no fireworks though; we're going through a major drought!)
ReplyDeleteI'll be spending time with the family. We usually grill out and feast on watermelon =) Since it's a Wednesday night, we'll be going to church first before blowing up some fireworks.

Celebrate the hub's birthday with family and friends at the lake:)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the hubby and I have nothing special planned for the 4th. We will be on the road driving to see our family in Ohio/Michigan for a long weekend. We (The Hubby --> Professional Photographer) are photographing a family member's wedding and thought we'd go a bit early to spend time with them prior to Saturday...So no BBQ, fireworks, etc...booooo! :(

Ramblings of a Deaf Ed Teacher's Mind...
On the 4th we will be celebrating with family. It's now tradition to go to my cousin's house for a swim party. This is the first year we have a puppy at home, so we will have to be home in time to deal with possible anxiety due to the fireworks. So far it looks like we will have our hands full that night with her, the neighbors keep setting them off early and she completely becomes a spaz!

My niece turns 6 on the 5th of July. We will be spending the week, including the 4th getting ready for her water park party in their backyard! I can't wait!

I will be getting up early on the 4th to start a road trip. First stop, Grand Canyon (that's a 12 hour drive!) and then on to Colorado later in the week to visit family.
ReplyDeleteI just linked up my brand new blog to your 4th grade list!

A Place to Thrive
Our 4th of July plans right now include being lazy. We will eat hot dogs, but probably won't go outside in the 100 degree heat except for the fireworks. Hopefully it will cool down a bit before they begin.
ReplyDeleteIf it doesn't rain, we'll go to the 4th of July pancake breakfast (hubby, me, daughter, SIL, son, DIL, and cutest grandbaby in the world, plus other family members), then to the parade in town, them back to our house for an all American lunch. Later after dinner we'll watch the local fireworks from the front yard! F-U-N in the state of Washington!
ReplyDeleteI am slightly obsessed with fireworks, so on the 4th of July I plan on shooting off as many as I can!
ReplyDeleteMy 4th of July plans include keeping my cats calm during the fireworks and having a cook out!
ReplyDeleteI don't have anything special planned for the 4th of July. I'm in NC and my family is in SC. If any of my teacher friends have a get together, I may hang out with them. If not, it will be me and the TV or a book!
ReplyDeleteNo big plans for the 4th - just spending time with family and watching the community fireworks display...good enough for me!
ReplyDeleteNo plans set in stone, but I'm hoping to cook out and watch the fireworks.
ReplyDeleteHeather (heathernnance@yahoo.com)
I reaaalllly want one of these sharpeners! For the fourth, we will BBQ and swim, then watch fireworks from our air-conditioned living room. I am lucky to have a good view!
ReplyDeleteMy family and I love to watch the firework display that is shown from the Brooklyn bridge on NBC every year. I leave in Houston but love NYC!! We also love to grill hamburgers and hot dogs and share time with our family!

I am spending the day with the hubby, cooking out, and hopefully getting him conned into going and watching some fireworks somewhere.

It must be fate...I had the website pulled up to order this pencil sharperner, but hadn't ordered yet and then I saw your blog post about this giveaway! :) :)
ReplyDeleteFor the 4th, my mom will be in town staying with us (she lives 7 hours away from us) so we will be going to a local festival for some fun activities before watching fireworks.
Fourth of July is my favorite! Going downtown for a "festival" type thing & fireworks!
ReplyDeleteMeg
Third Grade in the First State
We are going to bbq and watch the fireworks from our backyard. Fun and relaxing times :)
ReplyDeleteI teach in Southport, home of the NC Fourth of July Festival, so we are going to the parade, craft festival, and sticking around for beach music and fireworks! It will be HOT but the breeze coming in off the water makes it well worth it!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be sticking around here (Washington) for the fourth. Hanging out with the family watching fireworks and, unlike most people out there, we will NOT be sweltering in the heat! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what me and my husband are doing. Probably spending some time at the lake with his family. (We've only been married 2 weeks so it's still weird saying husband.)
ReplyDeleteMs. Kerri and her Krazy Kindergarten
We'll be celebrating my niece's birthday and my nephew's birthday with a party, swimming and then fireworks.
ReplyDeleteHopefully going up to visit with friends!

I had two pencils sharpeners break this year!
ReplyDeleteI hope to spend July 4th with my great family.
This sounds like the answer to my pencil sharpner woes! :) On the 4th, we will be with family, taking in a small town parade, various special sponsored activities, a baseball game, and fireworks. Oh, too, I will be sure to watch Phillip Phillips sing at the Washington, DC 4th of July festivities!! :)
ReplyDeleteI so want to win this!! Pick me pick me! :)
ReplyDeleteWe'll be doing the firework and parade thing again this year... my 4 year old loves that stuff :)

Then we will hop on a friend pontoon and coast out to the middle of their lake to watch a fireworks show! It will be the perfect ending to my summer since I will start school the following week!

I'm looking forward to spending my 4th of July with my wonderful kiddos, my awesome nephew, and many family members and friends. We have an annual block party and it's always terrific. Great food, conversation, and, of course, fireworks! It's going to be extra special this year because my sweet 6 year old cousin (who is currently fighting for his life from cancer) will be able to celebrate with us.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to spending July 4th with my family. My husband finally has a day off (in the middle of the week) and my 4 yo cannot wait to see the fireworks! Going to be a great day!

We are talking about going to Chimpanzee at Mcmennamins too.

I would love a quiet pencil sharpener as well! I just finished my first year of teaching and this would be a great little thing to add to my room. This year the pencil sharpener I had was awful and it was stressful for the kids and I to deal with everyday. This 4th of July I was planning on going out on the river but I did go to a friends party and then my boyfriend was really sick so I came home and hung out with my parents. I was exhausted so it worked out okay. Plus, there were TONS of fireworks in the neighborhood. :)
ReplyDeleteThis pencil sharpener seems so neat!
ReplyDeleteI watched fire works on the 4th and had a family bbq! It was a blast!
smileykate52@hotmail.com
I just found your blog this morning ... so, what did I do for the fourth? BBQ get together with long time friends that has become an annual tradition for us. We've known each other since our oldest children were in kindergarten and now one of them (my daughter) is married and made us grandparents and the other (their daughter) is a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. It was pretty low key, but lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog ... but I'm thinking about creating one. I guess I need some guidance. Who would want to read what I have to say? lol
Kim
I'm new to blogging and I love your blog! I think I'm rapidly getting addicted to this! For the 4th of July I got together with friends had good old hot dogs with all the fixins. Watched fireworks as well as participated in lighting quite a few. Fun Times!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this pencil sharpener!! The one they bought me that is electric just doesn't work that great.
ReplyDeleteAs for the 4th I spent it in Canada looking in dollar stores for more school things. Crazy!!! :)
Thank you for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteHey, Elizabeth! I didn't find your giveaway til after the 4th so here's what we did. With the temps at 103 and the heat index of who knows what, we stayed in and relaxed at home. Drought conditions big time so no fireworks--Macy's spectacular on TV had to be it for this year!
