Most of my "Made Its" have been about "Making Connections", "Making Dates with Family and Friends", and "Making Memories".
Tara even used our meet up as one of her Made Its last week. You can read what she said {here} and what I shared {here}.
I get so caught up on what I need to "get done" during the summer that I don't stop to spend time enjoying every minute.
So, this week. That's what I did. I realized that even if I only blog about one project, that that's OK. Even if I don't blog at all, that's OK, too.
Life is too short.
So, this week (and all summer, really), I spent time making lots of memories. And for me, that's enough.
With that being said, I did make one little project for my classroom next year.
I stopped by the classroom where I will spend 4 of my days (one day will be spent at another school), and I found these:
I knew that I needed them to be more organized...duh. That's me.
So, I whipped out my Silhouette and created this:
Love this! What a great way to contain all your letters. Good luck with your new position!

I like your letter organizer! I still haven't made anything, but like you I am changing schools and grade levels, so I spent the first part of the summer moving most of my stuff to my garage. I have been making some great memories and some new friends, like you said and when it boils down to it, that is what makes life sweet isn't it. Have a great day, I'm off to make some more memories with my daughter.

I'm Not Your Grandpa, I'm Your Teacher
I have been reading blogs on my phone lately so I think I missed your blog makeover - but it is beautiful. Thanks for posting your letter organizer - I brought mine home to redo this summer and forgot about it - it is somewhere in the 50 boxes I brought home. Enjoy your summer and making memories : )
ReplyDeleteI love your blog makeover! It's beautiful!!! Your letter box looks fabulous!

I love what you made--it is so organized and you!!! I couldn't agree with you more about spending your time in the ways you mentioned. It's so weird how on the same wavelength we are sometimes, but I have felt that way this summer too...I don't feel that same pressure to get stuff done (and I will try really hard not to get that way!). :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new position! I really need to invest in a Silhouette.

Your blog is super cute! Love the makeover! I've been very much in the same place about making memories instead of worrying about a to-do list unless it's something I want to do. Summer is TOO short!
