I've Got A Glue Gun, and I'm Not Afraid To Use It
What have you been crafting this week? Have you been as nut-so as me?
I may or may not have burned my finger once or twice with said glue gun. Both of my kids were at camp last week, so this chick has been BUSY!
Naturally, I’m linking up with my friend, Tara:
I made these for my shelves. You know, I hate clutter. So, if there is clutter, cover it, girl. Cover it!
I love them! My Momma helped me. She’s cool like that.
Next up- A Teacher’s Toolbox:
Now, I know we are ALL making these, right? Like everyone I know. Everyone.
The inspiration comes from Create*Teach*Share:
Seeing as my classroom is now pink, lime green, purple and teal, I needed to create one that suited that color scheme.
Here’s mine:
I’ve seen templates out there, but I created my own that I’m sharing with you. Let me explain:
I’m type A. Duh.
I needed it to have specific words. I have a ton of Sharpies and needed a drawer to say that, you see. So, I spent a while (hours, really) creating my own template. I’ve got it for you in a Word document. That means you can edit yours, too.
Here’s the kicker. If you do not already have the font I used downloaded on your computer, it may download all wonky and then I’m not sure how to help you. Maybe someone cool like Kristen or Michelle can, but not me. I’m still a novice at this in comparison to those chicks.
The font I used was from Kevin and Amanda. It was Pea Kylie. I’d say go to this site:
http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/ and download the font. Then download my freebie.
I linked this up with Classroom Freebies. If you don’t visit Classroom Freebies Manic Monday, you are missing out on tons of great freebies and ideas:

You can grab my Teacher’s Toolbox Editable Template from TPT or TN.
One last thing before I leave you. Today is the day to start voting for me over at Really Good Stuff. See this post for details.
Please and thank you. A LOT.

OH how I love those curtains!!!! I want curtains!!! I want those curtains:))) So cute! The toolbox is awesome too!!! Congrats on your Really Good Stuff nomination!!! Hugs:) Thanks for linking up:)4th Grade Frolics
Congratulations on your nomination!!! (I already voted for you this morning). LOVE the organizer drawer … so much so I just may reorganize a space in my classroom just to fit it in!JenRunde's Room
I have seen lots of cute teacher toolboxes but yours is precious!! Thank you so much for the customizable labels… that will save everyone SO much time!! I am your latest follower and a new blogger. If you have some time, come check me out :)HeatherKickin' it in Kinder
That is a great idea to get a curtain to cover clutter… it drives me crazy to see “stuff” piled places. I think your tool box turned out great!! I love the colors. One problem…. I FORGOT TO INCLUDE A SPOT FOR MY BAJILLION SHARPIES!! I'm going to have to change my “marker” tab to sharpie, hahaKatieDirty Hands and Lesson Plans
I downloaded it, thanks! I don't have the font and it just showed in up a regular old boring one. So I'll just change it to something cuter! Thanks again! I'm going to get round to making one of these at some point during the summer!Adventures in Room 5
Yea! Now I have a template to make it!! Love how yours turned out! I love the curtains too!!! Are the tops of cabinets like cubbies? I'm contemplating doing curtains this year, I just don't know where to hang them – My windows are way too high for me to reach, even with a ladder! The Sweet Life of Third Grade – We're having a SWEET giveaway
Someone else linked up cute curtains they made for their windows and I was all bummed because I don't have windows. However, I DO have shelves. I HAVE been meaning to get my sewing machine out… another project added to my ever growing “To Do” list. :)JessicaMy Different Worlds
I did a teacher's toolbox for this week probject too! Yours looks great!! 🙂 Your curtains look great, too!
Hmmm…I forsee a trip to the fabric store in my near future! Those curtains are too cute! I've got my teacher toolbox all ready to be painted. Thanks for the labels…will try those here pretty quick!HaleyFollowing Optimism in 2nd Grade

Those curtains are adorable! Love them. I popped over from Manic Monday :)PamelaFirst Class Teacher
Thank you thank you! I'm re-doing my box this summer and couldn't find the template I used. This is perfect!Sara 🙂Smiling In Second Grade
Great job on both of your projects. I was just like you and needed to customize my wording as well. Like you I also spent ages recreating it although I used publisher. In the end when I printed everything up on labels I had miscalculated a bit and ended up trimming several a little bit more. I'm sure lots of people will really appreciate your editable template!
I love all of the ideas I have seen so far! This is a great idea! I know my class will enjoy my summer projects and I need to make a teacher's binder! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the template! I wanted my specific wording, too, but I also wanted to print polka dot borders, to save me the time of mounting and trimming. Your template helped me to do that quickly. I can't wait to put mine together!!I voted for you, too. 🙂
I am LOVING those curtains. Just found your site and started following. I can't wait to see what else is on your blog :)StorieStories by Storie
Love the curtains!! Great combo of colors on them. Is the pink a ribbon or fabric? I plan on making curtains and I just bought fabric, but I am thinking it may be too much zebra print. Great Job!!AprilWolfelicious
Love it! Love everything!! The curtains came out so nice (tell your mom they are lovely!). Love the toolbox–still not sure what to do with mine, but thanks so much for the template!! I don't know how else to get that font other than what you said–we'll have to download it. I'm guess I'm not cool after all! :/ Thanks for this Elizabeth, I adore your blog 🙂
Love the curtains and the toolbox!
I voted for you! I have declutter curtains on my list. Maybe I can enlist your mom to make mine… haha. I ordered my toolbox Sunday. You just saved me lots of time! 🙂Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher
Thos curtains are wonderful, I love the colors. I think your toolbox ended up looking great. Thanks for taking the time to make the templates and then share them. JillBubbalulu.blogspot.com
Thanks, Tara.
Thank you, Jen 🙂 I'm loving the toolbox. I took it to school this morning and it looks great on my counter near my small group table.
The curtains are covering very deep shelves that seem to accumulate tons of “stuff” that NEVER looks neat. I also make a very short curtain for my front door. I'll show a picture of that when I'm finished 🙂
No Kristen, you are way cool. WAY
Thanks for voting, Amber :)I'll get my mom on it!See you soon!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for the sweet comments about the curtains and my toolbox. It made my day 🙂
It's a pink ribbon that I fused on with Stitch Witchery. Easy peasy!
Welp, looks like I'm going to have to make one of those handy little toolboxes since you've made it so simple! Time to add it to my list of projects for the summer…I'm just afraid I'm going to run out of space in my room!LauraWill Grade For Coffee”
Oh my gosh! From one type a girl to another, thank you for the template!!!!MeganI Teach. What's Your Super Power?
Did you spray paint your toolbox with plastic paint? I love the color, what color and brand is it? Thanks for sharing!
Hi, teacher friends. I am getting ready to enter my 37th year of teaching. I have been at the same school & was even a student teacher there. All my years have been in first & second w/ one year in fifth…those big kids scare me! I love this blog, visit it frequently, but have never posted. As I begin to wind down my career, I would like to offer some words of wisdom. I didn't go into teaching to make lots of money. We all know that. In the blink of an eye, about ten years ago, my husband had a stroke which disabled him. I am the bread winner for us, & as many of you know, we live from paycheck to paycheck. Watch how much money you spend out of your pocket. As I packed up my room this June, I marvelled at what I had spent & it almost made me sick. Also, spend time with your family & not so much on school. I don't listen to my own words sometimes, but I just wanted to give some bit of advice from an “olden” days teacher. Elizabeth, you do a great job here. I'll keep reading! Thanks for listening.
Your template looks great! I love how the words are printed right onto the paper! I will have to come back and visit if I decide to make my own. 🙂Marvelous Multiagers!
I'm a BIG fan of Marker Felt font. You should have it on Word!!
Cute, cute, cute stuff! Love the curtains! And the toolbox! I'm your newest follower. Come visit me sometime. I'm having a giveaway at 100 and I'm almost there!annThe Caffeinated Classroom
