Monday Made It, Currently

You guessed it from my title, didn’t you?  I’m linking up with both today.  Seeing as I was out of town yesterday, I missed the day one of the Currently…and man, there are now over 100 entries.  Wow!  I like her rule of 3.  I’ll be sure to follow that rule 🙂

My reads: I know it’s so cliché, but I love reading Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing to my 4th graders each year.  It was my favorite in 4th, and I always start the year with it as my first read aloud. My second book is Guided Math.  I’m loving how much I’m learning and feeling assured that the way I have started teaching math is truly effective.

OK, remember the rule of 3….

Moving on…..

I just adore Tara.  I’m sure you are aware.  I told her last week that we had to have been switched at birth because

1- We are using/loving the same colors for our classroom
2-She just bought the same exact Erin Conren planner that I have. 

I’m serious.  I wish she were closer to me and we could be doing all of this crafty classroom stuff together. 

Here’s this weeks adventures in crafting:

OK, my next project is not finished, but was the one that was the reason I went up to school last week.  So, I’ll give you a sneak peak but not show you everything until next week.


I’m heading back to school in a few minutes with this in hand:

That’s going to help me finish the filing cabinets (the sides) and then I will take more pictures and show you more details.

  9. I know I'm behind in the times, I just covered my first clipboard with duct tape last night. I was surprised how easy it was. I thought I would be trying to pull it up and reposition it a hundred times. I never would have thought of using it on pocket charts. Yours looks great!Kelly @ I'm Not Your Grandpa, I'm Your Teacher

  12. I'm teaching 4th grade next year, my first time in 17 years! I always read The World According to Humphrey to my third graders during the first few weeks of school. I wasn't sure what I was going to read to my 4th graders! Thanks for giving a “shout out” to Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing!
