Pinch Me…Am I Dreaming?

Monday was a very exciting day for me.  I was a bundle of nerves as I arrived at the convocation center for our Annual Teacher of the Year Banquet.

I had been named a finalist back in March.  For the last month, I have been observed, interviewed, and video-taped so that the committee could chose a winner.  I sure am glad I wasn’t on the deciding committee, because the other five finalists are outstanding teachers.

Guess what, blog friends?

I won.  I’m still in a state of shock and disbelief.   But, here it is in black and white. I guess I can stop pinching myself…

Oh, and you know it’s true when you see your name on the school marquee.

It’s official once it’s been put on the marquee, after all.  Right?

I guess this little dream is a reality.  I share this with all of you.  I am a better teacher because of each and every one of you.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
