Monday Made It {July 1st}
Before I begin, today is my Anniversary. 18 years! Wow. That’s hard to believe. I couldn’t find a picture of just the two of us (I’m on my new computer…holla), so this is a picture of the whole family at Sarah’s Spring Formal (not wedding…the white dress probably threw you a bit). I’m so proud of the father that my husband is to my wonderful children. I’m a very lucky woman.
Now to the Made Its for the week.
I have a whole birthday-slew of Monday Made Its for you. I’ll start with the final “Sweet Sixteen Candy Bar” table. This about sums up all of the Made Its…I made a lot for this party 🙂

I did make one thing for my classroom. The idea {I think} came from a Monday Made It link up weeks ago. I just don’t remember who it was…so if it was you, please email me and I’ll add your name and link. I made a memo board to hang next to my desk. I took an old shutter that I bought from the Habitat Resale Store and cut it in half. Then, I primed it and painted it. Don’t look too close, it’s not perfect, but I didn’t really care. As a matter of a fact, I’m thinking of “distressing” it a little more with sandpaper. Not sure yet…thoughts?
I love the bright blue color. It will match my room beautifully. Those two papers in the slats are just envelopes folded in half. I think that this will work perfectly for notes, pictures and other items that usually get taped to my wall next to my desk.
So, there you have it. I was super-duper busy all week getting ready for the birthday party. Now it is time to focus on more classroom related items. Well, once I get motivated again…but first…a day of relaxing and then a nice dinner celebration with the love of my life. Mushy enough?
